La Voce di Asti previews the documentary “Gemina – Echoes of Identity Across Borders”, a project that intertwines art, memory, and identity between the Asti region and the Caucasus.

The Asti-based publication reports on the press presentation scheduled for Tuesday, April 14 at 11:00 AM, in the Gianni Basso room of the Teatro Alfieri in Asti, regarding the documentary dedicated to the dialogue between Monferrato and Armenia. The film, directed by Asti filmmaker Alessio Mattia and produced by the SiAmo il Monferrato association together with Fondazione Time2, Hayeli, and Nork Group, will be screened as an international preview at the Milan Design Week. The narrative highlights the parallels between the two territories regarding traditions, spirituality, wine culture, and community resilience, with Asti at the center of the story. Accompanied by a book and a photographic exhibition, the project is the first chapter of a three-year journey that aims to portray Monferrato in comparison with other territories around the world. Among the featured protagonists are Tigran Tsitoghdzyan, Ghukas Khachatryan, Armine Ohanyan, Tigran Hamasyan, Ugo Nespolo, Ottavio Coffano, anthropologists Grimaldi and Scalfari, and sociologist Don Luigi Berzano. The article emphasizes the inclusive dimension of the initiative, with four young people from Turin supported by Fondazione Time2 involved in multimedia training and production, and co-financing from the Piedmont Region. The schedule includes, in addition to the April 21 preview at the Anteo cinema, a presentation on May 14 at the Canottieri Armida in Turin and the book presentation at the Salone del Libro.
