The AmeVe blog views Gemina as a territorial branding operation capable of bringing Asti’s identity to the Design Week stage.

The article presents the documentary “Gemina – Echoes of Identity Across Borders” as a new international showcase for the bond between Monferrato and Armenia, screening on April 21 at Cinema Anteo during Milan Design Week. The piece reconstructs the genesis of the SiAmo il Monferrato project, directed by Alessio Mattia and presented to the press on April 14 at the Teatro Alfieri in Asti, with the support of Fondazione Time2, Hayeli, Nork Group, and co-financing from the Piedmont Region. The filmic narrative explores the parallels between the two territories regarding wine culture, traditions, spirituality, and community resilience, featuring protagonists such as Hamasyan, Tsitoghdzyan, Khachatryan, Ohanyan, Nespolo, and Coffano, alongside scholars Grimaldi, Scalfari, and Berzano. Significant space is dedicated to social inclusion, with four young people from Turin with disabilities involved in the training and production of the film. The author interprets the entire operation as a three-year territorial promotion strategy that, passing through Milan, Turin, and the Salone del Libro, aims to project Asti’s identity on an international scale.
